Our Theme for the night was about lying and truth. Our scriptures for the night were Colossians 3:9-10 and John 8:44. We began with an ice cream eating contest. The children were told that that there was a prize ring at the bottom of their bowl of ice cream and the first person to eat all their ice cream and put on their ring would be the champion of the contest. However, it wasn't actually ice cream. It was chilled mayonnaise with sprinkles and a cherry on top. (SEE ABOVE) When they were told to begin they dove into their sundaes with gusto, and you should have seen their faces. That's a nasty trick!
Afterward we talked about how it feels to be lied to. We also talked about why we lie sometimes and how we feel about people who lie a lot. Mostly we talked about how God never lies, and because that is true we can trust in His promises. By being honest we show that we are God's children.
We also had real ice cream sundaes with all the fixings!
We also played a bunch of games including a Lulu Advent original game of LAVA TAG!
The evening was capped off with a drive down Tullie Beach in the back of the Kreiders' truck.
